Mandatory for V4.x to V4.6 Upgrades

This instruction is only for customers upgrading from UPM-X Version 4.0, 4.1 to Version 4.2, V4.3.x, V4.4 and V4.5 and is mandatory.

The upgrade steps need to be followed as described below to ensure that legacy content is removed, which may cause issues if not removed.

Please apply the steps below in all instances.

Updating UPM-X

1. Go to System Applications/Installed and search for UPM-X.
2. Select the latest UPM-X version and click on Update.

The Update will take some time. Wait until the update has been completed before you proceed.

Configuration Fix V4.6

This Update Set aims to enhance the application's security and efficiency by removing unnecessary Cross-Scope Privileges and reporting on user groups that have no impact on the application.

• Download this "V4.6 UpdateSet" XML file.
• Go to "Retrieved Update Sets" in ServiceNow
• Click on "Import Update Set from XML" under the related links
• Select the downloaded UpdateSet and upload it
• Click on "Preview Update Set" after the upload is completed
• Accept all Warnings and Errors and click on "Commit Update Set"
  The Upgrade procedure has been completed.

Configuration Fix V4.5

Download and execute this UpdateSet in addition to the V4.4 and prior upgrade instructions.

This Configuration Fix will remove some legacy configuration files.

To implement the Configuration Fix V4.5:

• Download this "V4.5 UpdateSet" XML file.
• Go to "Retrieved Update Sets" in ServiceNow
• Click on "Import Update Set from XML" under the related links
• Select the downloaded UpdateSet and upload it
• Click on "Preview Update Set" after the upload is completed
• Accept all Warnings and Errors and click on "Commit Update Set"
  The Upgrade procedure has been completed.

Changes include

Removal of two Grid Canvas Panes from the Sankey Tab.

This change is the result of upgrades to the Sankey Diagram function in the Strategic Planning Dashboard. This means the two Grid Canvas Panes are no longer necessary.

Configuration Fix V4.4 and prior

Import and commit the following Update Sets to delete legacy configuration

Download the V4.4 UpdateSet and unzip.

The V4.4 UpdateSet contains the following files and removes the content stated below:

1. UPMX 4.4 - 20211216 - Deleted Configuration.xml
